The much heralded run of UK dates with Swedish specialists Anata (http://www.anata.se) went awesomely. The shows played, in this order, were Carlisle, Brighton, Glasgow, London, Manchester, then Anata jetted off to Dublin for a night, then came back and we did Hawick.
For anyone scratching their head at the apparently illogical way the tour was laid out, all the thousands of miles back and forth, the reason is thus: with only short notice to get the dates, most places had limited slots available, so we had to take the dates we could. Our preference was to take a date in a place with a good metal track record rather than go somewhere convenient and un-metal. How about that for a no-compromise ethic? We're prepared to get out there and take it to the crowds that would appreciate it, so that's why we made the effort. And it freaking well paid off, too. We met some awesome people, made some good contacts and got out there doing what we do best: tearing it up in good style.
A proper tour report is being written up, and will eventually come to light either here or on our myspace (www.myspace.com/callousoutright).

Hail, fellows! Thanks to all who turned out to see us. Sorry you didn't get to see a full set, even though the blame lies elsewhere. We feel at least as let down as you do, possibly more so as it was such a rich banquet of bands that night and we wanted to give you a full serving of your favourite Callous Meaty Chunks, and introduce some exciting New Recipes! (Ok; that's enough food foolishness) So thanks again to the patient and loyal who stuck around, new fans and old, and to those who had kind words for us. TTFN Rod |
